Position Summary
The Senior Computer Vision Engineer will be a part of the development team for a novel surgical navigation platform to improve robotic oncology outcomes. You will be a contributor to our product definition and development efforts. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with algorithm development using computer vision and deep-learning models. The work will be focused on research, development, and optimization of algorithms for medical imaging. Ideal candidates will include those who have launched products including 3D ultrasound imaging. This is a collaborative opportunity where the individual will work with other engineering disciplines, product management and clinicians.
Primary Responsibilities
Research, develop, and optimize computer vision and deep learning models for 3D Ultrasound data
Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of model outputs, provide insights and recommendations to support clinical decision-making and research initiatives
Communicate findings and results effectively through presentations, reports, and visualizations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical professionals and software engineers, to understand the requirements and objectives of computer vision projects
Stay updated with the latest advancements in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning literature and proactively apply new methodologies and techniques to improve existing processes
Core Qualifications
MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning or other related technical area required (PhD preferred)
At least 2 years of experience in computer vision and/or deep learning required, semantic or instance segmentation and tracking experience preferred
Strong foundation in object oriented programming, data structures and algorithms required, Python or C++ preferred
Proficiency in Python packages like numpy, scikit-image, PIL, opencv, matplotlib, seaborn preferred
Familiarity with medical imaging formats, such as DICOM, and relevant tools and libraries preferred
Experience with our open-source toolkits and applications for medical image analysis and visualizations such as ITK, VTK, and 3D Slicer preferred
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure preferred
Experience with any deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, Tensorflow preferred
Experience in training models through GPU computing using NVIDIA CUDA or on cloud preferred
Ability to travel up to 10% required
